Next Tuesday is #GIvingTuesdayNow. A global day of giving and unity as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. Join the movement by showing your support for those in our community who have come together.
COVID-19 Update from United Way Leeds & Grenville Executive Director, Trish Buote:
"It is so wonderful to work with agencies who do so much on the front line to help our most vulnerable. These agencies go above and beyond to provide compassionate and caring programs every single day! Over the past two weeks we have been able to support agencies like Connect Youth, LLG Addictions & Mental Health, Community & Primary Health Care (CPHC), Interval House, Girls Inc., Beth Donovan Hospice, Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program, and the Food For All – South Grenville Food Bank, all of whom are working so hard to make sure people in the community are served.
Thanks to donations to the COVID-19 Response Fund, we've helped with outreach services/counselling, cleaning and sanitization, food, meals, technology to help reduce isolation in children/youth/seniors and transportation for groceries and medical appointments. Thank you to the donors who have made this possible - showing what #locallove in a Global Crisis looks like."
Trillium Health Care Products donated 3 large bottles of hand sanitizer to United Way Leeds & Grenville to distribute to some front line agencies. We've split the sanitizer into smaller bottles to try to help as many people as possible. We've donated bottles to Connect Youth, The Leeds & Grenville Community Family Health Team, Victim Services and Developmental Services so far. Thank you to Trillium for this generous donation.
