After almost 26 years as its leader and driving force, United Way Leeds & Grenville Executive Director Judi Baril has announced she is retiring at the end of March.
Judi began her work as the Executive Director with the United Way on June 5, 1989. During that time, Judi has worked tirelessly on behalf of the United Way and the broader Leeds and Grenville community.
“The communities our United Way serves are a better place to live and raise a family today because of Judi’s commitment to improving the lives of others,” said Michael Jiggins, President of the United Way Leeds & Grenville Board of Directors.
“On behalf of the United Way, I want to thank Judi for her quarter century of hard work and dedication. Through her work and leadership, she has strengthened our community,” said Jiggins.
“She leaves a remarkable legacy and I know I join everyone, from community leaders to the countless residents whose lives have been improved as a result of Judi’s work, in wishing her well in her retirement.”
When Judi began her career, the objective for the United Way was less than $300,000 – last year the organization achieved $ 1,105,000.
